PLAYING RULES

All rules will will apply from the current SPN rule book if not listed below.

7 male 3 female format.

Game duration: 75 min. from scheduled start time.

No new inning after 65 min.

bullet

NO grace period.

bullet

The game must start on scheduled start time if a team has 8 or 9 players (must have 2 females) there is only 1 auto out. The 9th and 10th player may enter the game at any time.

Games must start on time regardless of absentee umpire. If grace period is in effect because of less then 8 players, the start time is the regular start time.

No more then 3 male batters in a row

bullet

No extra innings, tie remains a tie.

bullet

5 run limit per inning, last inning open if within the time limit, The umpire does not have to call open inning. If time runs out that inning will be completed.

bullet

Mercy rule in effect, 12 runs after 5 innings.

bullet

No stealing

bullet

Bunting allowed for (females only) No slash bunting

bullet

A defensive player can not stand closer then the 50 FEET until contact is made with the ball.

A defensive player can not throw a female directly out from the outfield

bullet

Teams must supply batting order to the umpire and other team before scheduled start time.

The umpire will have the discretion weather an ejected player may remain in the park. An ejected player ejected from the park will receive a one (1) game suspension and must be in the dugout for that suspended game.

Unlimited courtesy runners. For a player to run they must be on the line-up card given to the umpire.

Can not tag a runner out at home plate.                                  

LEAGUE RULES

Failure to follow any rules established here or by the current SPN rulebook by any player or team / spectator will be subject to fines and/or suspensions as determined by the executive.

Team representative will be held responsible for all conduct of their players and spectators.

bullet

League rosters must be in by 2nd week of league play

bullet

Winning team to call or email the scores within 2 days or a 7-7 tie will be recorded.

bullet

A player may only play on one team in the league.

bullet

Player must play in 6 games to be eligible for playoffs.

bullet

Any games that are defaults or no-shows will result in a $50.00 fine.

bullet

All fines must be paid before the Play-offs.

bullet

Protests must be made right away with the umpire who will inform the league Rep. Umpire will sign both books, finish playing the game. 

bullet

Scorebooks must be handed in after your last game to be eligible for play-offs. If not handed in your team may not be scheduled.
